Hi! I’m Shirley Mayumi Maekawa. I was born in LA, USA and raised
until 9years old. After moving to Japan, I finished culinary school and
now I’m a Cooker license holder, Fermented food researcher, Sake
navigator, Cheese navigator, Owner of Shirley’s Japanese Cooking.
I lived in the US and Taipei,Taiwan,Singapore, totally 24years in overseas and finally settled in Japan in 2013.
Hubby, 3 grown kids, 11years old Chihuahua dog.
Shirley’s Japanese Cooking is located in Setagaya ward, Tokyo. It takes 20 minutes by stopping each station (junkyu is also OK) on the Odakyu line from Shinjuku.
Meeting spot is out of the ticket gate of Chitosefunabashi station. Kitchen is 8 minutes walk from the station.
